I've set up my wireless router to function properly and connect with several laptops. The problem is, if the router or my dsl modem is turned off, the settings I've made or the configuration of my router is changed or lost, something happens to it, the connection is no longer there, I get a prompt saying "There may be a problem with the DNS server"

How can I fix this problem?

Leaving ON my router and modem at all times won't solve the problem because in case a power outage happens then it's out of my control and the problem would still exist.

PLEASE HELP.THANKS.

So i recently bought a D-Link DIR-655 router to replace my linksys router.
Since we started using it get disconnected from XBL about every 3 or so hours.
When i get disconnected from XBL u have to wait about 10-20min before i can reconnect

The Xbox 360 is connected through a ethernet cable
It was fine before i got the router
I also have 2 computers connected my Ethernet cables and one Laptop wirelessly they work fine

I'm not that good with networking but i know the basics
